In my opnion intellectual property must be protected.
Assume that you were a musician and you strived to create new music over 2 years then you made it. One day, you walk on the street and listen to counterfeit your work. How would you feel? Here is another example, you were a president of big company. you give all your efforts to your company to succeed. Now your company has renown for your products like GE or SONY. What if someone use your company's name for their products with low qualties. Do you still stick your seat without no action to protect your products.

I think piracy is another name of stealing.
